Roles& Responsibilities:
- Performs all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems and service work in new or remodeled facilities under the supervision of a Journeyman.
- Installs, repairs and maintains electrical equipment, electronic devices, power, lighting and control panels, conduit and switches, generators, transformers and other electrical equipment.
- Skilled in the installation of all sizes and types of conduits, cable tray, wire basket and channel raceways.
- Uses meter and megger testing equipment.
- Ability to read and understand installation instructions and wiring diagrams for basic equipment.
Qualification Guidelines:
Experience:- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in the industrial or commercial setting. Experience working with voltages up to600V, Installation of power distribution systems including power & lighting panels and transformers. Solid troubleshooting capability using a variety of testing equipment. Fundamental knowledge of instrumentation communication applications and installation practices.

Education/Certifications:- Valid driver license
- TWIC Card
- TDLR Journeyman or NCCER Electrician
Physical:- Must comply with STARCON’s drug and alcohol policy.
- Able to pass physical examination, if required.
- Able to climb towers through ladder cages, climb stairways carrying 20lbs of tools and/or materials, work from scaffolding at elevated heights, work in towers and vessels, work in excavations, extended hours on your feet on un-even work surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel)
Safety/Environmental:- Must be able to pass applicable site-specific training. Knowledge of refinery and chemical plant hazards which may require special precautions and PPE, such as Sulfuric, H2S and HF.
- Must undertake the appropriate safety/environmental training commensurate with the position and location.
- CPR and1st Aid training and certification, when required.
- Must be able to read and understand safety instructions, signs, labels and permits in English.
