To independently perform skilled electrical work inindustrial, commercial, or construction environments, including theinstallation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The StateLicensed Journeyman Electrician ensures all work complies with applicablecodes, safety standards, and project specifications, while supporting efficientoperations and mentoring less experienced personnel as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of a Level 3-State Licensed Journeyman electrician may include, but are not limited to, the following items:

•Independently install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, transformers, control panels, and power distribution equipment.

•Interpret and apply electrical schematics, blueprints, P&ID’s, and technical documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.

•Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment and techniques.

•Install PLC’s, VFD’s, and other automation/control systems.

•Ensure all work complies with National Electric Code, NFPA 70E, OSHA, client, local/state electric codes and specifications.

•Collaborate with client engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to support project scope.

•Maintain accurate records of work performed, including logs, inspection reports, repair documentation, as-built red lines, and quality check sheets.

•Mentor apprentices and junior electricians, providing technical guidance and promoting safe work practices.

•Participate in site safety meetings, audits, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
