Job Details:

Theright candidate must have ten years’ experience in the petrochemical industryor related field, with previous experience as a field supervisor. You will be responsible for all phase of workincluding, but not limited to, safety, quality and directing day-to-dayactivities.

Job Description:


Responsible for understanding all applicable blueprints, specifications, procedures, work schedules and standards for assigned work

Motivate crews through effective team member relations and strong leadership to meet quantity and quality expectations

Resolve problems with Field Supervisors or crafts timely and fairly

Maintain daily logs to permanently record all significant project facts, events, conditions, delays, visitors, client communications, commitments, agreements and approvals

Implement scheduling, planning and cost control concepts

Monitor manpower needs throughout the project and ensures that proper qualified team members are on site

Plan work schedule and communicate work requirements

Coordinate priorities in various areas of the project to ensure the appropriate crews are working on the project priorities

Organize and schedule construction equipment to enhance manpower utilization

Notifies Superintendent and/or Project Manager of tool, equipment or material needs

Communicate any delays or scope deviations to the Superintendent and/or client.

You must haveprevious experience with the following skills.

  • Broad industrial construction knowledge
  • High skill level in appropriate discipline
  • Working knowledge of computes, including Word, Excel ad Outlook
  • Working knowledge of project schedules
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills
  • Good communication, coaching and counseling
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand project drawings
  • General estimating skills
  • Good understanding of the change order process
  • Basic drafting skills
  • Good understanding of the billing process
  • NCCER certification preferred, but not required
  • Must have formalized training in leadership, coaching, interpersonal communication and building team relationships

Work Environment

The workenvironment will require you to work in SCBA, special protective PPE specificto the unit and working at heights. Extended work hours may be required. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Must be physically able to carry up to 50 lbs. of tools and/ormaterial.
