The right candidate will have a minimum of 5 years carpenter experience in the petrochemical industry or related field. You will be responsible for constructing, erecting, repairing and dismantling built-in-place or pre-fabricated forms for concrete structures or foundations. You will prepare layouts using the appropriate tools. You will study construction drawings, sketches, building plans and specifications for information pertaining to requirements and dimensions. You will determine the type, size and quantity of materials needed. You will mark cutting and assembly lines on the materials. You will fabricate materials to prescribed measurements using the appropriate tools. You will assemble and fasten together with appropriate fasteners such as nails, pins, screws, bolts and clamps. You will be required to verify the installation of forms with the appropriate tools such as string line, plumb bob, carpenter’s level and/or framing square.
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of construction terminology
Pouring and finishing of concrete
Installation of grout
Mathematic skills as they pertain to the job activities
Ability to identify material by type and dimension
NCCER certification required

STARCON CBT Rigging qualifications
The work environment will require you to work in SCBA, special protective PPE specific to the unit and working at heights. Extended work hours may be required. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Must be physically able to carry up to 50 lbs. of tools and/or material.
